Carl Junction, MO : Woman injured in a two-vehicle accident on Route JJ in Jasper County on Monday, May 2, 2016

A Carl Junction woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 3:30 p.m. Monday on Route JJ, less than two miles south of Carl Junction in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Karen M. Tilton, 41, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Tilton was a passenger in a northbound pickup truck driven by Rickey A. Tilton, 20, also of Carl Junction, that collided with a westbound pickup truck driven by Grace A. Irwin, 17, of Carl Junction, when Irwin failed to yield the right of way, the patrol said.
