DASSEL, MN : A 20-year-old Meeker County man was airlifted to a metro hospital following a one-vehicle crash on Wednesda 24th October 2018

A 20-year-old Meeker County man was airlifted to a metro hospital following a one-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported at 4:05 a.m. at the intersection of Country Road 15 and County Road 6, southeast of Dassel in Collinwood Township.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, Justin Simonson, 20, of Cokato was the lone occupant of a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a tree.

Simonson was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital then airlifted to North Memorial Hospital.

The extent of his injuries is unknown. Alcohol is not considered a factor in this crash, according to the Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Department, Dassel Fire and Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the scene.
