Naches, WA : Renton man injured in SR 410 crash on Tuesday evening, June 21, 2016

A Renton man was injured when he hit a deer on State Route 410 Tuesday evening, the Washington State Patrol reports.

The crash happened 12 miles west of Naches around 10:15 p.m., according to a patrol news release.

Troopers said Peter Braun, 57, was driving a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta east on SR 410 when he hit the deer. Braun was taken to Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment, the patrol said. Hospital staff said he was treated and released.

Troopers said they believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, and that charges were pending.
