Vancouver, WA : Pedestrian struck and killed on I-5 in Vancouver on Wednesday night, July 13, 2016

A man struck and killed by an SUV late Wednesday night while running on Interstate 5 has been identified as Evan B. Davenport of Portland.

Washington State Patrol says troopers responded to the crash just before 11:30 p.m.

According to a report from state patrol, a man was jogging in the lanes of I-5 northbound just south of Mill Plain Boulevard when he was struck from behind by a Jeep Wrangler.

The driver, Marion Thomas, stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators. He was not charged with a crime.
