Joplin, MO : Four injured in traffic accidents on area roads on Monday, February 6th 2017
A Lamar teen was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:35 a.m. Monday on Interstate 44, a mile west of Fidelity in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Megain J. Ridenour, 18, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Joplin with minor injuries.
She was a passenger in a westbound pickup truck driven by James J. Norton, 22, of Lamar, that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
• A Carthage woman sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash at 11 a.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 160, about 5 miles north of Liberal in Barton County, the state patrol said.
Emily N. Patrick, 33, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.
Patrick was driving a westbound car that ran off the road, struck a ditch and came to rest in a field, the patrol said.
• A teen from Exeter was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8 a.m. Monday on Missouri Highway 86, about 2 miles east of Stark City in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Hayless M. Marshall, 16, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with moderate injuries.
She was driving a westbound car that ran off the road, struck a fence and overturned, the patrol said.
• A 48-year-old Anderson man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck at 8:10 p.m. Sunday on state Highway 76, about 3 miles west of Anderson in McDonald County, according to the state patrol.
The westbound vehicle driven by Leslie J. Hutcheson ran off the road and overturned. Hutcheson suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
