Eagle, ID : 71-year-old woman dies after car vs. cyclist crash near the the Iron Eagle Drive/Edgewood Lane on Monday, 13th August 2018

A 71-year-old woman died in a car vs. bicycle crash that occurred near the the Iron Eagle Drive/Edgewood Lane intersection early Monday, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman, identified by the Ada County Coroner’s Office as Joann Baker of Eagle, was pronounced dead about three hours after the crash occurred. She died of blunt force trauma.

The adult female driver of the car did not appear to be injured. No charges have been filed at this time.

Officers began their investigation just before 9 a.m. Monday when they got a report that a passenger car going southbound on Edgewood Lane collided with a bicyclist, who was on Edgewood near the crosswalk at the Iron Eagle Drive intersection.
