KILLINGTON, VT : Pittsford man hurt in Route 4 crash on Tuesday, 20th March 2018

Police said a Pittsford man was hurt Tuesday morning in a crash on Route 4.

Vermont State Police said Matthew Hart, 46, was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center with injuries to his neck, head and left shoulder. The injuries were reported as not life threatening.

Police said Hart was driving east in a 2012 Ford F-150 shortly after 8 a.m. as Reiner Brown, 18, of Perkinsville, was driving west in a 2003 Toyota truck.

Both drivers described a third vehicle turning onto Route 4 from Killington Road, which Brown told police blocked his view of Hart’s oncoming truck.

Police said Brown tried to turn onto Killington Road, failed to yield to Hart and the trucks collided.

Police said Brown was unhurt, but his truck was a total loss. Hart’s truck sustained moderate contact damage to the front.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
