Greenville, SC : Upstate man killed in head on collision in Greenville County on Sunday morning, November 20, 2016

The Greenville County coroner confirmed his office was called out to a fatal wreck on Augusta Road Sunday morning.
According to the highway patrol, the collision occurred at 3:25 a.m.
Troopers say a 36-year-old pickup truck driver was traveling south on Augusta Road when they stopped at a median to turn left and was struck head on by a 26-year-old Chevy Camaro driver traveling north on Augusta.
The driver of the 2002 Chevy Camaro was not wearing a seat belt and was entrapped and then had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The coroner identified the driver as 26-year-old Wesley Drake of Greenville. Drake succumbed to his injuries at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
There was also a passenger in the Chevy Camaro, It is unknown if the passenger was wearing a seat belt, but they were transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital by EMS.
The pickup truck driver was also injured at taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital . He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
This incident is under investigation by the coroner's officer and the SC Highway Patrol.
