Charlotte, NC : One person dead in southwest Charlotte crash on I-77 southwest Charlotte on Sunday November 1 2015

Lanes have reopened on I-77 and Tyvola Road in southwest Charlotte after a deadly accident that involved four vehicles.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning, one person was killed.
Troopers say the incident started when a car broke down in the middle of I-77. Three cars traveling behind it reportedly tried to swerve and avoid a collision. One car turned left and was able drive away without a scratch. Another car veered right and crashed into a concrete wall. When that driver got out of his vehicle to look at the damage, another vehicle fatally struck him.
The driver that is accused of hitting him drove towards the Tyvola exit ramp, but was picked up by police, troopers say.
Charges are pending. Troopers believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
Part of I-77 Southbound was shut down for several hours but reopened just after 7 a.m.
