IVA, SC : 2 suspects caught after crashing stolen ATVs in Anderson Co. creek on Monday, 1st July 2024

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said two men have been charged after stealing a trailer with $170,000 worth of stolen property inside.

According to the sheriff’s office, on June 23, 20-year-old Austin McMahan “tried to pull a fast one” by hopping into a truck and taking off with a large trailer in tow. Inside the trailer were brand new side-by-side ATVs, including a four seater.

Officials said McMahan then went to meet 32-year-old Andrew Keaton at Greer Heights on Abbeville Highway and the pair took the stolen property to Keaton’s family’s land.
