Allentown, PA : 67-year-old motorcyclist was killed in Berks County crashon Monday, 25th June 2018

A 67-year-old motorcyclist was killed Monday morning in a Berks County crash, state police at Reading said.

Michael J. Scheifele, of Bernville, was thrown from his motorcycle when he was struck by a vehicle at 7:33 a.m. on Bernville Road in Penn Township, state police said. He was taken to the hospital where he died, police said.

State police said Scheifele was behind a car in the southbound lanes and both were stopped for traffic when a truck, also southbound, failed to stop and pushed the motorcycle into the car.
