Topeka, KS : A single-vehicle fatality crash on Monday, August 7, 2017

Jackson County authorities have identified a Topeka woman as the victim in a single-vehicle fatality crash on Monday morning about three miles west of Holton.

Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse said Deborah Renee Mitchell, 57, of Topeka, died early Monday in Jackson County.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash, which occurred before 6 a.m. on rural M. Road about one half-mile north of K-16 highway.

The vehicle involved was traveling northbound when it crossed to the west side of the road and then rolled. It landed on its wheels, Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse said in a news release. Deputies found Mitchell deceased when they arrived on scene.
