A 48-year-old motorcyclist died Friday afternoon when he collided with a vehicle exiting the parking lot of a Monroeville restaurant, Allegheny County Police said.
The crash occurred about 3 p.m. in the 3700 block of Business Route 22 near the Bob Evans restaurant, according to police.
Investigators said the victim was riding his motorcycle westbound when he struck the side of a vehicle exiting the Bob Evans parking lot onto the roadway.
When emergency crews arrived, police said, they found the motorcyclist suffering from traumatic injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The investigation is ongoing and the findings will be turned over to the [Allegheny County] District Attorney’s office to determine what if any charges will be filed,” police said in a news release.
