Gautier, MS : Woman killed in wrong-way interstate crash early Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017

The woman killed in a wrong-way crash on I-10 early Wednesday morning has been identified.

Jackson County Deputy Coroner Jason Moody said 52-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Reaves, of Gulfport, died when she hit an 18-wheeler just after midnight.

Officials said Reaves got on the interstate going the wrong way at exit 61. She collided with an 18-wheeler at the 59 mile marker in the eastbound lanes. The truck caught fire after the collision.

Moody said Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating what caused the crash.
