Stroudsburg, PA : Death reported in Chestnuthill crash on February, Monday 19th 2018

The Monroe County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene of a Monday afternoon crash in the area of Route 115 and Brookmont Drive, Chestnuthill Township. According to Pennsylvania State Police at Fern Ridge, one person was killed and another seriously injured as a result.
Around 4:10 p.m., a 2001 Ford Explorer was traveling north on Route 115 when it crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a 2005 Lexus RX330 head on. The driver of the Lexus was killed and the driver of the Ford sustained major injuries to the lower extremities and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono by West End EMS.
As of 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Route 115 was closed between Weir Lake and Gilbert roads. Traffic was being rerouted. The roadway reopened by 8:45 p.m.
West End Fire Department was also on scene.
