Claremore, OK : A Rogers County man was involved in a single vehicle accident on Thursday, September 7, 2017

A Rogers County man was involved in a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon near Chelsea.

According to the report of Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Leonard McMillan, Chelsea resident Austin F. Ritter was northbound on NS 4240 Road north of Foyil on his 2006 Kawasaki Motorcycle at 3:15 p.m. Thursday,

For reasons unknown, Ritter, 22, departed the roadway to the right, laid the motorcycle over, and struck a culvert, then separating from his motorcycle and coming to a rest 63 feet from the point of impact.

Ritter’s condition following the incident was listed as “apparently normal,” according to the OHP report.

Trooper McMillan is with the Rogers County Detachment of Troop B of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was assisted in his investigation by members of the Foyil Fire Department and the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office.
