JACKSON, KY : 3 student-athletes seriously hurt in Breathitt County crash on Monday, 6th May 2024

Three teens were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Breathitt County.

Jackson Police Chief Brian Haddix says it happened just after 6 p.m. on Monday along Jett Drive.

He tells WKYT three boys were involved, two of them were trapped in the vehicle. The fire department used the Jaws of Life to rescue them.

“It always makes it harder to see, especially when you see them play sports and see how active they are in the community,” said Haddix. “All three boys are very active in the community and role models to the younger kids.”
