Raleigh, NC : Blue Line up and running again after early morning collision with truck on Thursday, 3rd November 2016
The northbound Lynx Blue Line has returned to service Thursday morning, after being shut down for about 90 minutes due to a collision with a truck near the intersection of South Boulevard in the Hebron Street.
No injuries were reported as of 6:45 a.m. Southbound rail traffic was not impacted, and all lanes were open on South Boulevard and Hebron Street.
The accident was reported about 6:15 a.m. Thursday. The first railway car of the trail sustained damage on one side during the collision, which also ripped the bumper off a truck. Charlotte transit officials were on site at 6:45 a.m. checking to see if the railway car was safe enough to continue traveling. It resumed service about 7:15 am.
