Chigago, IL : One person had to be extricated following a two-vehicle crash in East Chicago on Sunday morning, April 10, 2016

One person had to be extricated following a two-vehicle crash late Sunday morning in the 400 block of East Columbus Drive, according to city firefighters.

The crash occurred at 11:21 a.m. and the cause is reportedly still under investigation.

Three people were injured and were taken by two ambulances to the local St. Catherine Hospital, according to fire department officials.

The identities of the people and severity of their injuries were not available Sunday afternoon.
