Bowling Green, MO : Jessica D. Goist, 27, died in single-vehicle crash on Highway 79 in Pike County on Friday, Nov 6, 2015

The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a single car that happened Friday afternoon on Highway 79.

Jessica D. Goist, 27, of Elsberry was traveling northbound on Highway 79 north of Pike 219 in a 2005 Ford Taurus when she drove off the left side of the roadway at 2:25 p.m., according to the highway patrol.

She attempted to regain control of her vehicle, then crossed the center line and again drove off the left side of the roadway, overturning her vehicle. Goist, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
