Providence, RI : One man seriously injured in all-terrian vehicle crash on Wednesday night July 23rd 2014

A young man suffered serious injuries in an ATV accident Wednesday night.

The man, in his early 20s, was riding an all-terrain vehicle on Kidd Hill Road when he crashed into concrete stanchions, said Barnstable fire Capt. Richard Ogonowsky. Someone reported the accident from Thornton Drive at 8:12 p.m.

The man had multiple injuries, particularly to his legs, but no head trauma, Ogonowsky said. The injuries were classified as serious but not life-threatening, he said.

Boston MedFlight helicopter was not available so an ambulance crew took him to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, he added.
