The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a man who was struck by two vehicles on Highway 29 in Perry County.
According to MHP Information Officer Brent Barfield, the call was received around 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
The man, who has been identified as John Joyce, was laying in the middle of Highway 29 when a vehicle traveling northbound did not see him and struck him, according to Barfield.
Barfield said before the driver could warn anymore travelers, a second vehicle approached.
The person in that vehicle tried to dodge Joyce, but also struck him.
Joyce was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.
The accident is still under investigation, and no charges are pending at this time.
