Mushego, WI : School bus carrying 38 middle school students rear-ended in Muskego on Tuesday afternoon, September 9, 2014
A 35-year-old Muskego man was injured when his vehicle rear-ended a stopped school bus Tuesday afternoon.
The bus' red lights were flashing and the stop arm was extended at the time of the accident near the intersection of Katherine Drive and Woods Road, according to Muskego police. The bus was stopped to let off students when the crash happened at 3:17 p.m.
None of the 38 Bay Lane Middle School students on the bus or the bus driver was injured. The school district was contacted and students were picked up at the scene by their families.
The man had to be extricated from his vehicle and was taken to Froedtert Hospital for nonlife threatening injuries. Police officials said they will issue a citation for inattentive driving.
