Montgomery, OH : Sycamore High School graduate died in a crash on Pfeiffer Road and the Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway on Sunday, Aug 23, 2015

A recent Sycamore High School graduate is dead after a crash overnight Sunday.

Montgomery police said 18-year-old Amy Sanker died in a crash in the southbound lanes of I-71 between Pfeiffer Road and the Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway.

The interstate was shut down while investigators analyzed the crash site. Police said one of the vehicles involved sideswiped the other.

Sanker died at the scene and the other driver was able to stop his vehicle further down from the crash site after regaining control.

Sanker’s father said she was going to start classes Monday at the University of Cincinnati-Blue Ash as a first-year student. She was a cheerleader at Sycamore High and also tried lacrosse.
