BELLFLOWER, CA : Deputy, woman injured in Bellflower crash on May 12th 2014

A Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy was hospitalized after a collision between his patrol car and a sedan in Bellflower, officials said.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Somerset Boulevard and Bellflower Boulevard around 11:25 p.m. Monday.

The male deputy, who was responding to a burglary and had both his lights and sirens on during the crash, was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The female driver was taken to Downey Regional Medical Center.

Investigators were looking into the cause of the crash.
