New Port Richey, FL : New Port Richey teenager killed in car crash Friday December 18 2015

A teenager was killed Friday night after a car hit her as she was walking on the side of the road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Marie Elizabeth Pizzino and 14-year-old Chris Broffman, both of New Port Richey, were walking south on the right shoulder of Moon Lake Road in a dark area at about 9 p.m. As Paige Milhollen, 24, passed the teenagers driving a 2014 Ford Focus, the passenger side of the car hit Pizzino. Pizzino died at the scene.
Broffman and Milhollen, also of New Port Richey, were taken to Bayonet Point Hospital with minor injuries, according to FHP.
Pizzino was a junior at River Ridge High School in New Port Richey and Broffman is a freshman there, according to an item posted Saturday on the school's Facebook page.
As you can imagine, this is terribly difficult for both families and for RRHS staff and students," principal Toni Zetzsche said in the post. "Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
