Hyannis, MA : Two seriously injured in head-on crash on Tuesday

Two people were taken to Falmouth Hospital with serious injuries following a head-on collision on Route 28 at 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The vehicles collided near the intersection with Whistler Way, said Falmouth police Lt. Chris Hamilton. Both cars were heavily damaged.
At least one of the victims of the crash had to be removed with hydraulic tools, said Falmouth Deputy Fire Chief Timothy Smith.
Both people had serious injuries, but they were not considered life-threatening, Smith said.
The cars were driven by Stephanie Morton, 28, and Nancy Ferguson, 37, both of East Falmouth, said Falmouth police Sgt. Michael Rogers.
Rogers declined to release the names of the people who were injured.
