Monett, MO : 4 injured in wreck south of Monett on Saturday, January 7th 2017

Four Verona residents were injured Saturday in a wreck at 6 p.m. on Farm Road 1130, five miles southeast of Monett.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Joshua Grose, 32, of Verona, was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus southbound when he swerved to avoid a stranded vehicle in the road, causing his vehicle to travel off he roadway, strike a ditch and overturn.

Grose and a passenger in the vehicle, his wife, Shea Grose, 23, of Verona, each suffered moderate injuries. Two other passengers, Tylor Melvin, 15, and Nevaeh Grose, 5, each suffered minor injuries. All four were transported by private vehicle to Cox Monett Hospital.

Nevaeh Grose was the only one wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
