Camden, NJ : One man died after fatal car crash on Saturday October 8 2016

One man died in a fatal car crash after his SUV crashed into a utility pole claiming the life of a Camden man.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday morning 34-year-old, Lamon Darnell Diggs was killed when the 2003 GMC Yukon he was driving left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The report said Diggs was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 10 near the 81 mile marker, five miles east of Camden.

The preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
