Murrysville, PA : Coroner IDs woman who died in Youngwood crash on Thursday, March 9th 2017

Youngwood resident Jesaca A. Morris died in a three-vehicle accident Thursday night along Fourth Street in Youngwood, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Kenneth Bacha.

Morris, 43, was driving south in a Chevrolet Cavalier at about 9:55 p.m. when she collided into the rear of a Ford F150 truck, according to the coroner's report.

Her car veered off the road, breaking a post and railing off the front porch of one home and continuing down a hillside, striking the side of a second, unoccupied home that was being renovated.

The pickup truck spun into a parked car, Youngwood Fire Chief Lloyd Crago said.

Morris was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:31 p.m. She was most likely speeding and was not wearing a seat belt, according to the corner's report. There will not be an autopsy.

The man driving the truck was checked by medical personnel at the scene and did not require further treatment, Crago said.

No one in the occupied home was injured.

Firefighters shut down a section of North Fourth Street, which carries Route 119 southbound through Youngwood, at Hayden's Pharmacy in the 500 block of North Fourth Street.

State police investigated at the scene, which reopened to traffic at about 1 a.m. Friday.
