Phillips County, AR : Dalvin Franklin, 18, dead after car crashes into tree on Arkansas 242 near Lexa on Sunday, April 19, 2015

A Lexa teenager was killed Sunday when his car went off the road and hit two trees, Arkansas State Police reported.

Dalvin Franklin, 18, was driving east on Arkansas 242 near Lexa in Phillips County about 9 a.m. His 2007 Infinity G35 went off the side of the road and struck two trees, state police said.

Franklin was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a preliminary accident report, conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident.
