MURFREESBORO, TN : Three killed in Rutherford County crash on Wednesday, January 4th 2017

Three people were killed in a crash in Rutherford County on Wednesday night.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 99 and Armstrong Valley Road in Murfreesboro.

There were two cars involved in the crash. Two people were killed in one vehicle, and one person in the other car was also killed.

A fourth person was transferred to the hospital where they were being treated for their injuries.

The road was expected to be closed for several hours while officials investigated.
