Prescott Valley, AZ: 69- Years oldRonald D. Darnell killed and another injured after pickup truck crossed center line and collided with car on Saturday ,April 18 2015

A Parker resident has been charged with vehicular manslaughter following a fatal crash in Prescott Valley Saturday night.

Prescott Valley police detectives arrested Joel Brandon Neider, 39, after he was released from a Phoenix hospital on Tuesday.

Investigators believe Neider was driving impaired and recklessly caused the death of Ronald D. Darnell, of Dewey.

Police said Neider was traveling eastbound on Highway 69 approaching the intersection of Fain Road when his pickup truck crossed the center line and collided head-on with Darnell's car.

Darnell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neider was booked into Yavapai County Jail with a bond of $15,000.

In addition to the manslaughter charge, he also was charged with seven counts of felony endangerment, three counts of DUI and felony criminal damage.
