Las Lomas, CA : Driver may have been on drugs in deadly Las Lomas crash on Saturday night, August 6, 2016

Officers said a driver they arrested was on drugs and under the influence of alcohol when he and a passenger were involved in a deadly crash Saturday night.

A 21-year-old man was driving north, heading into Watsonville. They believe when he got to a bridge, veered off the road and the car flipped, rolling down an embankment.

The driver was taken to Natividad Medical Center.

His 18-year-old female passenger died at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.

California Highway Patrol officers are investigating the caused of the crash, which happened on Hall Road near Garin Road at 6 p.m.
