Apopka,FL : Teen killed, 4 injured in Apopka crash on February, Thursday 22th 2018

A teenager is now dead in Apopka and several other people are injured after a crash on Ponkan Road.

The crash closed that road for hours Thursday afternoon around 3 p.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, five teen boys were in the vehicle, which may have been traveling at excessive speed when it hit a curb.

The vehicle then hit two power poles before flipping over, officials said.

Debris could be seen near the car on the road.

One of the passengers was killed; the other four passengers, including the 19-year-old driver, were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with injuries.
