NORTH CHARLESTON, SC : Lanes reopen on I-26 after crash on Tuesday, 25th July 2023

A crash Tuesday morning blocked two eastbound lanes of I-26 near Aviation Avenue and caused a backup of nearly five miles.
The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. near mile marker 210 and blocked the two left lanes, backing up traffic to the University Boulevard exit.
As of 10:05 a.m., drive times from Summerville to I-526 were up to 61 minutes, and drive times from Summerville to downtown Charleston were up to 68 minutes.
The lanes reopened after the vehicles involved in the crash were cleared. There was no word on whether anyone was injured.
