Grand Rapids Township, MI : One man was dead when he was hit by a drunken woman drove her SUV east on westbound Interstate 96 early Sunday morning September 14th 2014

Western Michigan authorities say a woman was drunk when she drove her SUV east on westbound Interstate 96, hitting a man's car head on and killing him. State police tell The Grand Rapids Press and WOOD-TV that the crash happened about 3 a.m. Sunday. They say the man's car was engulfed in flames, while the woman was pulled alive from her burning vehicle. State police say the woman was being treated for non-life threatening injuries at Mercy Health Saint Mary's hospital. Her name and that of the dead man weren't immediately released.
