Plainfield ,IN : Twenty-two-year-old Shanice Falls killed and her grandmother injured after car crashes into Indiana creek on Saturday night ,June 6th 2015
Authorities say an Arizona woman has died after the car she was riding in crossed a median and opposing lanes of traffic, went over an embankment and landed upside down in a creek along I-70 in central Indiana.
The Hendricks County Sheriff's Department says two fisherman discovered the car Saturday in White Lick Creek about 20 miles southwest of Indianapolis. It says it's unclear how long the car had been in the creek. The sheriff's department was summoned at 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
Twenty-two-year-old Shanice Falls of Tucson, Arizona, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her grandmother, 60-year-old Janice Ellington, was being treated at an Indianapolis hospital.
