1 dead in Motorcycle crash at the intersection of Butler-Warren Road and Rosemont Lane

Investigators say one person is dead after a minivan and motorcycle collided in Warren County.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened just after 11 p.m. Tuesday night at the intersection of Butler-Warren Road and Rosemont Lane near the Deerfield Township-West Chester Township line.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said the motorcyclist tried to pass the van at a high rate of speed, but hit the back of the van, lost control and hit a yard fence.

The motorcyclist was dead when patrol unites arrived on the scene.

The van's driver, who stopped after the crash, was not injured.

Investigators have not released the driver's name or age.
