FLORENCE, NY : A one-car motor vehicle accident on Wolcott Hill on Tuesday, October, 24th 2017

Police and rescue crews responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Wolcott Hill Road at about 9:46 a.m. Tuesday, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said.

Kristen Martin, 26, of Cleveland, was driving her vehicle southbound when she lost control of her car on a curve, deputies said.

Martin’s vehicle left the shoulder of the roadway where it struck a driveway culvert and became airborne, officials said, coming to a rest in a ditch after overturning several times.

The driver was treated at the scene by Florence Fire Department and Camden Fire Department EMS personnel and was transported to Oneida City Hospital for head injuries, deputies said.

Martin was issued a traffic summons for failing to reduce speed.
