Casa Grande, AZ : Woman injured in head-on collision in Casa Grande on Tuesday night, March 28, 2017

A woman was seriously injured in a head-on collision Tuesday night in Casa Grande, authorities said.

The accident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Second Street in front of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

The Casa Grande Fire Department reported one of the drivers, a woman, was transported to Banner Casa Grande Medical Center. The injuries apparently were not life-threatening or the patient would have been flown to a Phoenix-area hospital. The other driver, a male, was treated at the scene.

The woman’s current condition was not available. Information on what caused the accident was also not immediately available.
