Knoxville, TN : One person killed in wreck on I-40 in Knoxville on Friday evening, January 2, 2015

A wreck Friday evening in Knoxville killed one person.

The Knoxville Police Department says a Ford Taurus heading east on I-40 hit a tractor trailer. The Taurus then hit a concrete median wall and rolled several times.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was tossed from the car. The driver was taken to UT Medical Center, but later pronounced dead.

The cause of crash is still being investigated.

The driver has not been identified.
