WILLOWS, CA : Anderson woman killed in single vehicle collision on Sunday, 1st November, 2020

An Anderson woman is dead after a single vehicle collision Sunday in Willows.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said 26-year-old Lazandra Stringer, of Anderson, was driving a 1997 Honda northbound Interstate 5, south of Highway 162. The collision occurred, when for an unknown reason, Stringer veered to the left onto the center median.

Stringer then turned the steering wheel to the right, causing the car to travel across both northbound lanes of I-5, according to the CHP. The car left the roadway on the east side of I-5 northbound and overturned several times.

CHP said Stringer was not wearing her seatbelt and was fully ejected from the vehicle. Stringer was pronounced dead on the scene of the collision.
