JONESBORO, AR : Name released in deadly train vs. car accident on Saturday, November 12th 2016

One man is dead after a crash Sunday morning in Jonesboro that involved a car and train.

According to police, the accident happened around 7:35 a.m. near Willow Road.

An Arkansas State Police fatal crash report says the driver, 32-year-old Chris Cornell of Jonesboro, was driving north on Interstate 555 when his car left the road, ran off the bridge at the Union Pacific Railroad overpass, hit a pole, and stopped partially on the railroad tracks.

The accident was discovered when Cornell's car was hit by the train, according to the report.

Cornell was pronounced dead at the scene.
