Sandy Hook,CT : Driver hit, killed while refueling on interstate shoulder on April, Saturday 14th 2018

A driver has died after being hit by a passing car while refueling his vehicle on the shoulder of an interstate off-ramp in Connecticut.

State police say 36-year-old Timothy Sanderson was hit early Saturday while putting gas in his vehicle, which was parked in the right shoulder of an Interstate 91 off-ramp in Windsor. He died at the scene.

Police say the vehicle that hit him pulled over onto the shoulder after the collision. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.

Police continue to investigate the crash. No charges have been announced.
