CHICOPEE, MA : Single-vehicle crash on Massachusetts Turnpike in Chicopee sends man to Baystate Medical Center on Tuesday, 19th February 2019

A 24-year-old Tyngsborough man who lost control of his SUV on the westbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike Tuesday night was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with non-life-threatening injuries, state police saidThe single-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. and the victim’s 2012 Toyota Highlander went off the roadway and into trees, Trooper Dustin Fitch, a spokesman for state police, said.

Chicopee firefighters extricated the man, the sole occupant of the SUV, and took him to Baystate. He was conscious and alert after the crash.
