Joplin, MO : Joplin man hurt in one-car crash on on Saturday

A one-car accident on Interstate 49 near Nevada on Saturday resulted in serious injuries to a Joplin man.
According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Scott L. Quick, 37, was hurt when his southbound vehicle crossed into the median, over-corrected, then ran off the right side of the road and overturned. Quick was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
The accident occurred just before 1 p.m., 8 miles north of Nevada.
• A Nixa woman suffered minor injuries in a one-car accident at 7:40 a.m. Friday on Missouri Highway 97, 1 mile north of Stotts City in Lawrence County.
Rachel Stratton, 25, was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
According to a patrol report, Stratton was driving a southbound pickup when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck and embankment and overturned, the patrol said.
• Two Americus, Kansas, residents received moderate injuries in a two-car accident at 1:10 p.m. Friday on Missouri Highway 126 and Route T, 3 miles west of Golden City in Barton County, the patrol reported.
Lora Schubert, 69, was driving eastbound when her car collided with truck driven by Pablo Gonzalez-Contreras, 27, of Carthage. According to the patrol report, the Gonzalez-Contreras vehicle failed to yield to the Schubert car after stopping. The Schubert vehicle hit the truck, which overturned in the roadway.
