New Strawn, KS : Burlington man dies in Coffey County wreck on Wednesday, 3rd July 2019

A Burlington man died after a one vehicle accident near New Strawn Wednesday afternoon.

Vance Crutchfield, 48, was heading westbound on 17th Road when the vehicle drifted off the roadway to the right, struck the guardrail and came back onto the roadway. Crutchfield's vehicle then left the roadway to the left and struck the guardrail, coming to rest against the guardrail on the left side of the roadway.

According to a Facebook post, it is believed Crutchfield had a medical incident prior to the crash. He was wearing a seat belt.

He was transported to Coffey County Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
