72-year-old woman was flown to a Spokane hospital after a car crash

A 72-year-old woman was flown to a Spokane hospital after a serious car crash in north Spokane County.

It happened near the intersection of Deer Creek Road and Chattaroy Road just west of Chattaroy. Deputies on scene aren't sure what happened but they say it appears the woman just lost control of the car and left the roadway. We are told she has non life-threatening injuries, but she was seriously injured and because of her age, was taken to the hospital by MedStar.
