Worcester, MA : Templeton man killed in Rt. 2 crash in Acton on Sunday, October, 22nd 2017

A 60-year-old driver from Templeton was killed Sunday when his SUV crashed on Route 2 in Acton, state police said.

Police did not release the name of the motorist, pending notification of family. They said in a news release that he was driving east in a 2005 Ford Explorer at about 10:50 a.m. when the car went off the road, rolled over and crashed in the wooded median, west of Piper Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the vehicle.

State police are investigating the cause of the crash.
